Letter from a citizen: "During Hurricane Beryl, I reported to EOC a tree across the street near 424 Azalea Dr. in Lakewood. The tree blocked the entire street for 2 days. On the third day I saw a crew in the neighborhood and asked them if they were aware. The worker stated it was not on his list, but he would certainly take care of it.
Within about 10 minutes the removal crew arrived and sprang into action. It was extremely hot as it was about 3pm. Nevertheless, these guys completed the task and took a couple minutes to visit with me. I learned these men were assigned to the City Drainage Department.
I would like to recognize James, Joe, Lester, Joe and Lewis for their fast response, professionalism, hard work and customer relations abilities."
