For his project, Darrell looked at the process HR staff go through when searching for supplies in the supply closet. As he Defined, Measured, and used a Spaghetti Diagram to Analyze the situation, he noticed that even though the supplies are in designated and labeled tubs on the shelves, if you are not familiar with the layout it can still take several minutes (and sometimes the help of someone else) to find what you are looking for. This is an excellent example of the power of continuous improvement: even though the supply closet was organized through a 6S process, there is still room to make it better!
