At a recent city council meeting, Mayor Johnson recognized the month of April as Fair Housing Month in Baytown. The Fair Housing Act of 1968, prohibits housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin. The City of Baytown fully supports federal anti-discrimination laws and remains dedicated to promoting fair and equal housing practices for all residents.
Throughout the year, the City actively promotes fair housing through various initiatives with the Community Development Division.
