Families with young children will have more options to learn and play thanks to a generous donation. First3Years, an organization based out of Addison, Texas handed donation checks over to Baytown’s Sterling Library as well as the Parks and Recreation Department at a recent City Council meeting.
First3Years worked with a local organization, Babies in Baytown, to make the $25,000 donation happen. The groups gave $10,000 to the Sterling Municipal Library to distribute home kits that will provide resources and tools to help parents in using their home in an early learning environment. $15,000 was given to the Baytown Parks and Recreation Department to create additional spaces at parks for families with children under the age of three.
