At a recent City Council meeting, Mayor Brandon Capetillo recognized Chief Kenneth Dobson and the Baytown Fire Department as part of Fire Prevention Week. This year represents the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week, the nation’s longest-running public health observance on record. So what can you do? This year’s theme is “Fire Won’t Wait. Plan Your Escape.” It’s important for you and your family to have a home escape plan, know where you’re going to meet in an emergency, and practice your plan regularly.
