Construction crews have been working on the fourth floor, doing framework and placing concrete on various levels of the hotel. Work has started on the fifth floor with framing and decking. Steel trusses are being built at the convention center building.
Andrea Brinkley, Assistant Director of Public Works and Engineering says the project is on schedule. She said, “We have been saying ‘another month, another floor’ but the process has actually been faster than that. We are pleased with the progress.”
Another big moment will be happening in late August as crews are expected to be to the top of the hotel building.
For those who would like to check in on the progress, there is a live ground camera to give you a glimpse of the progress. Click here to see the hotel now.
