The awards keep coming for Baytown’s Public Works and Engineering Department. Lianette Leon, Asset Manager for PWE, has won several awards this year. Now she has been selected for the third cohort of Duke University’s Water Innovation Leadership Development (or WILD) Program.
The goal of the program is to enable innovation in the nation’s water utilities through the leadership development of rising leaders. The nationwide selection process is very competitive because only 18 leaders across the country are chosen to attend.
“It is another indication of Lia’s excellence in her field,” said Public Works and Engineering Director Frank Simoneaux.
Back in April, Lianette won the Innovative Technology Award and the Sidney L. Allison Award from the Water Environment Association of Texas. We appreciate Lianette’s hard work and dedication to the City of Baytown.
