[ARCHIVED] Fishing, Trail and Disc Golf Options

Outdoors Baytown

New and exciting changes are coming to the old Evergreen golf course as construction begins on the new T-36 golf course. With this being a construction area, safety is a primary concern for the City of Baytown and developers.

Disc golf baskets have been removed as the construction process begins. Fishing, biking, and walking the Evergreen course area will no longer be accessible. However, there are other community parks and trails to explore:

Roseland Park, located at 100 Roseland Drive, features fishing piers, a paved trail, a playground, and a splash pad.

Jenkins Park, at 4334 Crosby Cedar Bayou Road, offers disc golf, hiking and biking trails, a playground, and a splash pad as well.

We can’t leave out the Baytown Nature Center at 6213 Bayway Drive. The Nature Center features four fishing piers, more than seven miles of hiking and biking trails, and also has a playground.

Goose Creek Trail, that begins at Bayland Park, offers an extensive walking and biking trail system that connects a paved trail from South Baytown to North Baytown that can be accessed at multiple points along the trail.

The City is committed to keeping the disc golf community updated on the new disc golf courses that are currently in the works. Keep watching the City’s website and social media pages for more information on disc golf, T-36, and other important projects.
