The Baytown Fire Department proudly joins communities nationwide in celebrating National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, observed from May 18–24, 2025. This year's theme, "We Care. For Everyone.," underscores the commitment of EMS professionals to provide lifesaving care to all individuals, regardless of circumstance.

Established in 1974 by President Gerald Ford, EMS Week serves to recognize and honor the vital contributions of emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, and other EMS personnel who serve on the front lines of healthcare.  These dedicated professionals respond to emergencies in homes, workplaces, schools, and on our nation's roadways, often under challenging and unpredictable conditions.

The Baytown Fire Department extends its deepest gratitude to our members for their dedication, compassion, and professionalism. Their efforts not only save lives but also strengthen the fabric of our Baytown community.

As we observe EMS Week 2025, we encourage all residents to take a moment to thank our EMS professionals for their service. Together, let's honor those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
