Here’s the latest from the City of Baytown as you prepare for today:


  • City offices are closed.
  • A Heat Advisory in effect until 7pm. Heat index values could be up to 110 degrees.
  • Community Center is open as a cooling and charging center until 8pm.
  • Pirates Bay is working towards opening at 1pm.
  • Trash services are back to the normal schedule. If your pick up day was Monday, your trash will be collected on Thursday, July 11.
  • City crews are expected to begin picking up storm debris.
  • Non-operating or flashing traffic signals to be treated as four-way stops.
  • CenterPoint is working to restore power to Baytonians. Expect another million customers to be restored by Wednesday.
  • Only call 911 for an emergency.
  • Baytown Nature Center is closed as storm clean up continues.
  • CCPD and Fire Control meetings for today have been cancelled.
