Background

The proposed project site consists of four parcels, all of which contain single-family homes that were built at least 55 years ago.  The applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow the construction and operation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on approximately 9 acres of land.  The approval of the Special Use Permit (SUP) will permit the proposed BESS facility and will ensure compliance with all city code of ordinances and any applicable state and federal regulations.

Planning and Zoning Commission holds a Public Hearing and votes on a recommendation to City Council.  Anyone can sign up to speak at the Public Hearing.

City Council holds the final Public Hearing and votes the final decision. Anyone can sign up to speak at the Public Hearing. This is the final step.
