The mission of the Baytown Parks and Recreation Department is to foster lifetime involvement in and an appreciation of public space and recreational activities. Our Department is dedicated to Baytonians–continually striving to not only meet, but exceed community expectations–making Baytown a better place to live, work and play.
The Baytown Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members and the Parks and Recreation Department Staff present the Department's Annual Report to showcase the Department's collective view of the past year's activities, report the status of our most current programs and plans, and provide an overview of our plans for the upcoming year.
Reports are made pursuant to Ordinance No. 885, adopted in September 1967, which states that, annually, the Board shall make a study of the parks and recreation facilities and policies of the City and make recommendations concerning any changes, modifications, or improvements.
