Phase 2 of the West Main Street road construction project, from State Highway 146 to Calypso Cove, is back on track after crews made significant repairs to two major water lines. While this caused some delays, the repairs have improved water line infrastructure in the area. This phase is expected to be completed in early August.
Phase 3, from Maryland to Georgia Streets, is scheduled to begin around August 14th and will impact school traffic in the area until this work is complete. Barring any surprises, this phase is expected to take about a month to finish.
Look for more updates from the City of Baytown as we continue to wrap up this project.
