Road work beginning this week could impact your drive along West Main Street for the next several months.
Road construction will begin Wednesday, March 1st and will be split into three phases. Phase 1 will impact traffic on West Main Street from Barrymore to Highway 146. Phase 2 will begin after that and will impact West Main Street from Highway 146 to Maryland and Phase 3 will be on Main Street from Maryland to Georgia.
Street teams will be working hard to minimize issues for those who live in the construction zone area. Each phase will take six weeks each, but the hope is that we have good weather and crews can finish ahead of schedule. Digital message boards have been installed reminding residents about the road work. These signs will remain in place through each phase to help drivers who live or work in the area.
