The City of Baytown

The City of Baytown Health Department, EMS, and Storm Water Divisions have initiated a Medication and Sharps Take Back Program. Take back programs and events (like the one April 30th) are collection methods aimed at reducing the quantity of medications and sharps entering the environment and reducing the amount of drugs available for diversion, theft, or accidental poisoning. If flushed down the toilet or drain, unused or expired medications can contaminate the water supplies.  To safely dispose of your sharps or medications, visit the drop box at 220 W. Defee St. (1st floor hallway) between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
