The Baytown Animal Shelter will join other area animal rescue groups at San Jacinto Mall on Saturday, March 24, from 10 am to 5 pm for the Celebration for AniMALL Lovers, a festival all about family pets. Sponsors San Jacinto Mall and Green Mountain Energy hope the indoor event will result in “forever homes” for some of the area’s abandoned and stray animals and educate the community about animal welfare so that all animals can have the loving home they deserve.
The Baytown Animal Shelter will have a booth with animals for adoption. To be eligible to adopt from the shelter, you must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Unaltered animals can be adopted for $50; while animals who have already been spayed or neutered can be adopted for $10. Any animal adopted from the shelter must be spayed or neutered and have a current rabies vaccination.
