The Public Affairs Division is responsible for the timely dissemination of information about the City of Baytown and its policies, programs, and services to the news media and community.

Public Affairs handles publications for the City, and Comcast Channel 16 - Baytown, which creates and broadcasts the City's video content. All City Council meetings and work sessions are broadcast live and are streamed live on the internet through the City's website. They are also available on demand through the website. 

The Public Affairs Division manages:

  • The City’s website, www.baytown.org
  • Social media outlets
  • Develops "The Bridge" a quarterly newsletter direct-mailed to Baytown households
  • Develops the monthly newsletter inserted in utility bills
  • Produces video content and other programming for the City’s Government Access Channel, Comcast channel 16
  • Paid advertising

The Public Affairs Coordinator handles media relations for most departments.
