Notice of Annexations Section 9 of the City Charter requires that when extending or altering the boundary limits of the city, and upon the introduction of an annexation ordinance to the city council, "a description of the ordinance sufficient to identify the property being annexed shall be published in the official newspaper of the city one time."

In an effort to ensure that all citizens have sufficient information regarding any annexation procedure, a full copy of any annexation ordinance and its supporting exhibits are posted on this site, as a supplement to the annexation notice published in the Baytown Sun. For more information regarding the annexation process, please contact the Planning and Development Services Department at 281-420-5394.
