The Baytown Downtown Facade Improvement Program promotes economic development and stimulates business in the City through public-private partnerships. The program offers economic incentives for renovation, restoration, and preservation of privately-owned building exteriors within Downtown Baytown.
To apply for the Downtown Façade Improvement Grant, review the guidelines below and complete the program application. Attach the following information with your completed Downtown Façade Improvement Grant Application.
Ownership Verification – Provide proof of property ownership, proof of insurance, and a signed statement from each lien holder of the eligible property verifying applicant is current on all indebtedness that does or could, affect the value or ownership of the Eligible Property.
Current Property Taxes – Provide tax statements showing taxes are current.
Termite Inspection Report – Provide a copy of a termite inspection report performed within six (6) months of the Applicant’s submittal.
Asbestos Survey – Provide a copy of an asbestos survey performed within six (6) months of the Applicant’s submittal.
Design Plans – Provide a façade improvement plan and specifications.
Cost Estimate – Provide a cost estimate for the proposed Façade Improvement(s) stamped and sealed by a professional engineer or a registered architect, who is licensed to practice in Texas.
